Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a Thoracic Oncology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy program housed within Northern Light Cardiothoracic Surgery in Bangor, Maine. Position Details:

• Oversee referrals for all thoracic patients and present to surgeons
• Prepare information and background on patients to be presented at Thoracic Oncology Review and Thoracic Oncology Committee meetings
• Provide full spectrum of patient care including informing them of pathology results, ordering referrals to oncology and pulmonology, notifying PCP and other internal/external providers of pathology results, meeting all patients and their families on behalf of surgeons to inform of post-op care plan, and fielding calls from other providers
• Office patients in for chest tube removal, thoracentesis, and wound care
• Round and review complex patients to ensure adequate post-op care
