Position Description

Dover, NH: We seek a skilled NURSE PRACTITIONER or PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to join a growing DERMATOLOGY practice in New Hampshire’s beautiful Seacoast Region near Portsmouth NH and southern Maine.

Join an established multi-site private group and practice alongside Board-Certified physicians and highly trained/experienced Advanced Practitioners. This is an expansion position created to meet demand and enable the practice to serve more area residents.

Quality care delivery is the top priority of this independent dermatology practice. Become part of a respected team offering a wide range of services focused on medical dermatology, skin cancer treatment and more – including cosmetic services – in a modern office suite right across the street from a busy community hospital. Practice in a welcoming environment with comfortable offices and a superb support staff – plus a 5000 square foot Medi-Spa with its own range of services. A second practice site in Newington, NH – just a few miles away – is also ready to expand capacity. So, you may practice in one location or the other, or split your time across both.

You will earn a very competitive salary plus benefits including relocation assistance, paid liability insurance, health and dental insurance, plenty of earned time off plus paid holidays, and a budget for your CME. Details will be shared with qualified candidates.

New Hampshire is US World & News Report's #2 Best States to Live. This state charges no sales tax and no income tax. The Seacoast Region is home to sandy beaches, seaside concerts, live theatre and many more activities. Dover is a growing city that offers excellent schools and a range of home options from vintage in-town properties to welcoming suburban neighborhoods and multi-acre country homes too. Enjoy an incredible quality of life in a thriving community that offers the best of both rural and urban worlds.

Nearby Portsmouth is a picturesque, multi-faceted city of 22,000 – a popular tourist town that is also a historic seaport, a thriving home for families, and a center of business and commerce. Enjoy dozens of charming restaurants serving the freshest seafood and broad international fare. Take advantage of eclectic retail options from unique boutiques and artist galleries to big-box and outlet shopping.

New England famously offers a variety of recreational options across four distinct seasons. Take in the fresh air and scenic autumn colors while hiking in the nearby hills and mountains. In the summertime, enjoy beautiful powdery beaches and state parks for quiet days on the water, surfing or kite flying, or take in the exciting resort-town nightlife. Enjoy challenging golf courses or jogging or biking along scenic riverside paths. Boating is especially popular, with sailing and kayaking on sparkling lakes or in quiet sea coves. In the wintertime, superb skiing and snowboarding is just an hour or two north into the mountains of New Hampshire, Maine or Vermont.

Dover is 1 hour from Portland to the north (Maine’s largest city with 250,000 residents) and from Boston to the south (home to world champion baseball, basketball, football and hockey teams). Each city offers a thriving social scene, hundreds of restaurants, galleries and museums, live theater, symphonies and more. Whether it’s Portland for lobster and chowder or Boston for Italian and the ballet or early American historical sites, you’ll find a way to feed every appetite.

Portsmouth has a convenient regional airport, and unlimited domestic and international adventures can begin from the bigger airports in Portland, Boston or Manchester NH (an hour inland). Amtrak runs the popular “Down Easter” train between Portland to Boston, giving you more ways to get around.
