Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse community in New York City, is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

The FNP will provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting, with a strong focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, patient histories, and diagnostic evaluations for individuals across the lifespan
- Develop and manage individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other members of the care team
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform appropriate procedures within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
- Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and team-based care meetings
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, as well as state and federal regulations
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current New York State licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
- DEA registration and current BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, though strong new graduates may be considered
