Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner New

We’re hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a mission-driven community mental health center in Waldorf, MD. This is a part-time role (20 hrs/week) that will begin on-site and transition to a hybrid schedule after the training period (1–3 months depending on progress).

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders
• Provide individual and group therapy
• Prescribe and manage medications
• Develop individualized care plans and track patient progress
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment
• Participate in community outreach and wellness education

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty
• 2+ years of experience preferred, but open to new grads with strong fit
• Active MD Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license
• DEA license
• Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor
• Comfortable working with children and in community-based settings

Additional Information:

• Clinic Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• The Nurse Practitioner will be able to create their own schedule
• Pay Scale: $60/hr - $65/hr
