Position Description

A healthcare network on Long Island is currently seeking a Midwife, Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team at one of its facilities in Suffolk County.

About the opportunity:

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Setting: Outpatient

Responsibiltiies:

Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and prescribe treatments within specialty scope.
Provide on-call and hospital coverage as required.
Perform deliveries per midwifery protocols.
Lead quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and audits.
Supervise nursing staff and review clinical protocols.
Coordinate tests, referrals, and external care.
Establish preventive care and screening standards; assist in program development.
Adhere to OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines.
Maintain accurate, legible documentation.
Meet annual CME requirements and follow evidence-based protocols.
Ensure safe, effective care while meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction goals.

Requirements:

Master's Degree
Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwifery to practice in NYS or Board Certified Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (PA) with licensure
