The University of Delaware School of Nursing is searching for Gerontology NP preceptors for their Adult NP and Family NP students this fall. The students will be taking the course NURS643, Adult Gerontology. The fall 2016 semester starts Tuesday 8/30/16 and ends Friday 12/9/16. Students need to complete clinical hours with their preceptor 1 or 2 days a week based on their preceptor's preference. Dr. Ju Young Shin is the instructor for the course.

Attached is the NP student evaluation tool for your review to provide information about the clinical expectations for the student. Preceptors are asked to complete this tool to provide feedback to the instructor. The School of Nursing will make at least 1 site visit with the preceptor when the student is scheduled to be completing hours and will always be available by phone if needed by the student or preceptor.

There are 2 south eastern Pennsylvania students, 1 NJ student, and several Delaware students scheduled to take the course this fall so interested preceptors from the tri-state area would be welcomed.

If you are interested in being a preceptor for a University of Delaware NP student, please contact Heidi Skopowski, MS, RN Clinical Coordinator at 302-831-6918 or hskopow@udel.edu.
